What it brings

What It Brings to Your Mind:
Benzoin’s warm, sweet resinous aroma helps create a calm and comforting atmosphere when the mind feels restless, anxious, or emotionally tired. Its soft, grounding scent supports a sense of inner steadiness, making it especially suitable for quiet evenings, reflective moments, or times when you want to feel more settled and held.

What It Brings to Your Body:
Benzoin’s rich, warming scent encourages slower, more regular breathing, helping the body feel more relaxed and at ease. Known for its comforting and protective qualities, it is also often used in diluted body care or massage rituals to support dry skin, ease mild physical tension, and bring a gentle sense of warmth to the body.

The story behind each drop

Benzoin (Styrax benzoin) belongs to the Styracaceae plant family. The Benzoin tree is commonly found in regions such as Thailand and Indonesia.

For centuries, Benzoin has been used in ceremonial and traditional care rituals. Its resin was valued for its comforting aroma and protective qualities, and was often used in balms, ointments, and incense. In parts of Asia, traditional wellness practices also used Benzoin to support balance, ease tension, and bring comfort during breathing discomfort.

A simple ritual

Best for slow evenings, cooler days, and moments when you want a warm resinous aroma to make your space feel more grounded and comforting.

When you are in a hurry

Quick Inhalation | Add 1 drop of essential oil onto a tissue, handkerchief, or aroma stone. Hold it around an arm’s length away, take a slow breath, and let the scent gently bring you back to the present moment.

Note: Avoid applying undiluted essential oil directly onto the skin.

When you will be staying in the same space for a while

Aroma Diffuser / Burner | Add 8–10 drops of essential oil to every 100ml of water to create a calm aromatic atmosphere and refresh the air around you.

When your body feels sore or tired

Massage | Add 8–10 drops of essential oil to every 20ml of carrier oil. Gently massage onto the body to support relaxation and ease physical tension.

When the weight of the day feels too much

Bath Ritual | Add 4–6 drops of essential oil to bath water. Let the warm water and aroma help your body unwind after a long day.

When you want mental clarity and inner peace

Meditation Support | Apply properly diluted essential oil onto the wrists, or diffuse during meditation to create a calmer, more focused space.
